AXM is pleased to share that our use case has been included in the International Telecommunication Union’s AI for Good Innovate for Impact Interim Report 2026.
The International Telecommunication Union, or ITU, is the United Nations agency focused on digital technologies. Its AI for Good platform was established by ITU in 2017 and serves as a global United Nations platform focused on AI standards, skills, policy, partnerships, and practical applications of artificial intelligence for societal benefit.
The AI for Good Innovate for Impact initiative brings together use cases, scholars, technical experts, and stakeholders from across government, industry, academia, civil society, and the United Nations system to identify and showcase practical AI applications across sectors.
AXM is listed in the 2026 interim report as Use Case 15: “Infrastructure for Attribution, Rights, and Economic Participation in AI Systems.” The use case is categorized under AI + Finance and focuses on the growing need for infrastructure that enables cultural, academic, public, and creative datasets to be used in AI systems with consent, attribution, rights management, auditability, and optional economic participation.
The report describes AXM’s approach as an infrastructure layer that supports permissioned dataset provisioning, consent and attribution verification, rights-aware access, integration with external AI pipelines, Retrieval-Augmented Generation workflows, audit logging, and optional usage-based compensation mechanisms.
This inclusion reflects the relevance of AXM’s work to a broader international conversation about responsible AI infrastructure. As AI systems increasingly rely on institutional, cultural, academic, and creative data, organizations need practical tools to manage how that data is accessed, licensed, attributed, and governed.
AXM’s work is focused on helping institutions and rights holders participate in AI ecosystems through clearer governance, better attribution, and more structured pathways for value sharing where appropriate.
